Milwaukee Recreation’s Bike Bazaar returns March 14 at Riverside, with bike sales and fundraising

Annual Bike Bazaar scheduled for March 14 at Riverside University High School Community Center
Milwaukee Recreation will hold its 2026 Bike Bazaar on Saturday, March 14, bringing new and used bicycles, parts and cycling accessories back to the Riverside University High School Community Center, 1615 E. Locust St. Event hours are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with ticketed early entry starting at 9 a.m. and general admission beginning at 10 a.m.
The Bike Bazaar is billed as the 17th edition of the event. It is organized as a fundraiser supporting Milwaukee Recreation’s Mountain Bike Team program, with proceeds tied to ticket sales and vendor space rentals.
What shoppers can expect: bikes, parts, accessories and an on-site bike corral
The event is structured around vendor tables offering a broad range of cycling-related items, including complete bicycles, helmets, clothing, replacement parts and accessories. Milwaukee Recreation has also opened participation to arts and crafts vendors, expanding the mix of products available on the gym floor beyond cycling gear.
A central feature is the “bike corral,” a dedicated area where individuals can bring bicycles to sell. Milwaukee Recreation lists a $5 fee for individuals to place a bike in the corral with a contact-and-price tag. The event also outlines an option for Bike Bazaar staff to handle a corral sale transaction for a flat $5 commission, with payments and reimbursements managed at the end of the event.
Ticket prices and entry options
- $10 for early VIP entry at 9 a.m.
- $6 for adult/general public entry from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- $4 for students with Milwaukee Public Schools or college identification
- Free admission for children 12 and under
Milwaukee Recreation has indicated that a link for online ticket purchasing would be added, and that proceeds are directed to the Mountain Bike Team program.
Vendor participation: booth sizes, pricing and what’s included
Two vendor space options are listed for sellers bringing inventory to the event:
- 10′ x 10′ vendor space: $79.75 (includes two admissions, one table and two chairs)
- 8′ x 8′ vendor space: $53.50 (includes two admissions, one table and two chairs)
Milwaukee Recreation’s event rules also specify floor-management expectations, including restrictions on keeping bikes out of aisles and within assigned vendor spaces inside the gym.
Event purpose and background
The Bike Bazaar began as a fundraising event created by the Wisconsin Bike Federation and later became organized by Milwaukee Recreation to support youth mountain biking programming. Milwaukee Recreation describes the Bike Bazaar as a key funding source for the Mountain Bike Team, intended to help cover season-related costs and support program needs.
