Milwaukee Museum Days Concludes with Grand Finale

Today, Sunday, February 1, 2026, marks the final day of the annual Milwaukee Museum Days. This city-wide celebration offers residents and visitors a final opportunity to access many of the region's premier cultural institutions at significantly reduced admission prices or for free. Participating locations include the Milwaukee Public Museum, the Harley-Davidson Museum, and America’s Black Holocaust Museum. It is an ideal day to escape the winter cold and explore the city's rich history, from prehistoric dinosaur exhibits to the legacy of industrial innovation.

Theatrical Masterpieces Take the Stage

Milwaukee’s theater district is buzzing today with several high-profile productions. The Broadway sensation Hamilton continues its limited run at the Marcus Performing Arts Center with two scheduled performances at Uihlein Hall at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM. This Pulitzer Prize-winning musical provides a contemporary look at the life of Alexander Hamilton through a blend of hip-hop, jazz, and R&B.

For those seeking drama and classical music, the Skylight Music Theatre presents Amadeus at the Broadway Theatre Center. The production explores the intense rivalry between Antonio Salieri and the brilliant Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Additionally, the Milwaukee Repertory Theater is hosting The Lehman Trilogy in the Checota Powerhouse Theater, tracing the epic rise and fall of a financial dynasty. In the Stackner Cabaret, audiences can enjoy The Fisherman’s Daughters, a heartwarming musical rooted in Wisconsin culture.

Art and Family Activities

The Milwaukee Art Museum is open today with a full schedule of community programming. In addition to the ongoing exhibition Looking Forward: New Gifts of Art, the museum is hosting its popular Drop-In Art Making session at the Kohl’s Art Studio from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, which is free with museum admission. Families can also take advantage of drop-in architectural tours at 2:00 PM to learn about the iconic Santiago Calatrava-designed building.

For the youngest theater fans, First Stage is performing Lovabye Dragon at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center. Based on the books by Wisconsin author Barbara Joosse, this enchanting musical tells a story of friendship and adventure, specifically designed to engage children and their families during the weekend matinee hours.
